½ stick of butter
1 small onion chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tsp brown sugar
1 can (14.5 oz) chicken broth
½ C water
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 can (15 oz) pure pumpkin
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Melt butter, add onion and garlic and sugar. Cook 1-2 min. Add broth, water, salt, and pepper. Boil. Reduce heat to low; cook for 15 minutes. Stir in pumpkin, milk, and cinnamon, cook for 5 min. Blend soup until smooth. Serve warm.

I make a pumpkin soup that sounds very similar and it is D.I.V.I.N.E. Even my kiddos like it. We serve ours with sour cream and cheese on top. YUM!
Yum, that sounds good. I just made this two days ago and gave some to my 11 month old. He really liked it.
